Speaking Your Truth

identity self-care Nov 12, 2021

This is a summary of my latest video.  If you’d rather watch that, you can do it here.

I had a hard time coming up with anything to say about speaking your truth.  It seems so clear to me, but I know a lot of people who don’t do it.  Everyone is unique, so there could be a lot of reasons for it.  I decided a LONG time ago (after being involved in drama of my own making in middle school) that it’s just easier to speak my truth.  That way, everyone hears the same thing, and honestly, I don’t have to remember who I told what.  But that’s me.  What about you?  What is YOUR truth.  I know it’s different than mine, and that is exactly how it’s supposed to be.  We need your brilliance!  You’re the only you there is.  So, why do you hold back on speaking your truth?

Maybe you don’t want to make waves.  Maybe it’s easier to just let it go.  Maybe you’re afraid other people will judge you, if you speak your truth.  But here’s the thing.  Anyone who would leave you for speaking your truth really isn’t a good friend anyway.  Why are you making yourself small to make other people comfortable?  That is not your role in this lifetime.  You be you.  Always be true to yourself, regardless of what you think the consequences are.  THIS is true self-care.  THIS is living in freedom and authenticity.  THIS is what will attract the perfect partner and friends for you.  And it’s a much simpler and happier way to BE in life.

And, if you’re not speaking your truth, you are not going to be living your most magical life. 🧚🏼‍♀️
